Reindeer safari and Arctic lavvu dinner
This experience offers a genuine look into reindeer herding life, from the mountains to the fire.
Guests are welcome to take part, hands on, but participation is always optional. Both equally fine.

Into the mountains
We begin with a snowmobile journey into the surrounding mountains. The route varies depending on weather, snow conditions, and where the herd is at the time.
Along the way, we may encounter wildlife such as ptarmigan, fox, moose, or birds of prey.
We stop at viewpoints to take in the landscape, enjoy coffee, and share a small snack outdoors.
If conditions allow, we may meet the herd and take part in feeding. This depends entirely on season and needs, and is never guaranteed, but always guided by what is best for the reindeer.
Feed the herd
April - May *

From April through May, feeding the herd becomes a daily and essential part of reindeer herding life.
Guests visiting during this period are welcome to take part.
This is a rare opportunity to stand inside the herd during an important seasonal phase, as the reindeer prepare for migration and calving.
*Timing may vary depending on conditions. Feeding may start sooner.

At home with the reindeer

After returning from the mountains, we spend time with our tame reindeer at home.
Here, guests can feed them, interact closely, and take photos.
These reindeer are part of our everyday life, and close interaction is possible because of long term trust and care.
Arctic lavvu dinner
The day ends in the lavvu, where we gather around the fire for a full meal.
Dinner is based on Sámi food traditions and seasonal ingredients, prepared and shared as we do ourselves. Stories from reindeer herding life are told, and joik is always part of the evening.
A dessert made from an old family recipe is served, carrying both history and cultural meaning.
This is a warm and grounded ending to a day spent outdoors.
